Parent’s Corner

Learning Springs encourages parents to be involved as full partners and participants in their child’s academic experience. Teachers are available to all parents in whatever mode of communication is most effective for their unique situation. Parents are encouraged to visit their child’s classroom to observe how their child is responding to the environment and to volunteer in the classroom whenever the opportunity allows.

We wouldn’t be the warm, nurturing school that we are without the support and involvement of our parents. We have a variety of committees that are all volunteer-driven. Parents are welcome and encouraged to help out in their child’s classroom, help in the office, lead and staff volunteer events for our children such as the Thanksgiving Feast, Holiday Show, Mother’s Day Tea, and Donuts with Dad. We need (and love) involved parents!

We ensure that parents are aware of how their child is progressing. We provide the following mechanisms for parents to track their children’s progress:

  • Daily log of what each child does on a particular day is provided to parents.
  • Weekly emails to parents with the week’s review and what’s coming up the next week.
  • Email access to all staff
  • Parent conferences held twice a year review each child’s progress in detail.
  • Newsletters keep parents abreast of upcoming changes, events, themes for the month and parent tips.
